This is a gleaming, pale yellow wine with notes of green. It offers plenty of fruit, both tropical and citrus, with slight herbal notes. In the mouth it has a young, lively citrus taste, plus other tropical fruit flavors. Great body and a long finish Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with cheese, green vegetables, oysters, and fish.

Thresher is made by Pablo Morandé at the Casa Julia winery. As one of the leading winemakers starting with Concha y Toro, Mr. Morandé practically established winemaking in Chile. In fact, he brought grapes to the central regions as early as 1982 when he planted his first vines, and now there are nearly 10,000 acres of vineyards producing great wines for low prices. All the manually harvested sustainable fruit for the Thresher project comes from long-term growers in the all over Chile's Central Valley. The juice is processed in stainless-steel and is only lightly fined and filtered before bottling. Real Sauvignon for $10.
