Grape: Aligoté
White / France / Burgundy
Though chardonnay is king in Burgundy, aligoté is queen and that's what matters here. An old grape variety in the region, aligoté fell out of favor for whatever reason but can often over-deliver for the price of it's "fancier" Burgundian counterparts. Fresh and zesty citrus intermingle with touches of herbs and melon. This producer has been working sustainably for many years and make some truly delicious wines.
