Grauburgunder from young vines grown in sandy loess soils. The Scheuermann brothers act as little as possible in the vine and wine cycles to emphasize as much layered character and uniqueness as possible with each wine.
The sandy loess soils give a more balanced style, with a little bit more extract, a lightness and creaminess, sometimes showing an earthy minerality.
Aged for just 6 months on the lees to create a wine that’s salty, fluffy, and fresh with a fine acidic backbone.
