The Australian made Sagrantino we often see is big, flabby and boring.
In Italy, they are quite often lighter and punchier styles. Andy has managed to pull that off here too, with some Heathcote fruit. Refreshing, fun and light, littered with plum and liquorice.
Sustainably farmed Sagrantino from the Chalmers Merbein vineyard.
Whole bunch carbonic maceration for 8 days, fermented in fiberglass, nothing added.
