Producer
Cascina Val Liberata organic/biodynamic farm based in Piedmont, producer of Slarina, Nebbiolo and Grignolino. The company began its adventure in this part of Monferrato in 2005. Their mission is to produce vital fruits that express the true essence of the earth and in doing so will leave the earth healthy and alive. Among the blends they transform we find the Slarina ancient autochthonous variety that has almost disappeared, Cenerina and Nebbiolo. The name Cenerina derives from the word “cenere” or “cenere” which refers to the characteristic abundance of bloom on the ripe grapes which gives the impression of a veil of ash covering the bunches. 1.5 hectares of Nebbiolo made up of a range of different clonal types to promote biodiversity in the vineyard and an alternative organoleptic profile. It took seven years to create our first vintage of Nebbiolo. The labels are adapted from a series of works by artist Louise O’Brien
