Notes
A new producer to us, working with old vines in the Veneto (Italy). These young winemakers are working organic with minimal intervention not surprisingly.
Monteforte d'Alpone is a comune in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, located about 80 kilometres west of Venice and about 25 kilometres east of Verona, near the borders of Soave.
This Vino Rosso is light on its' feet but a touch brambly and gamey, a red that can get pretty big and lush in barrel but 7 months in concrete, gives way to a fresh and approachable light red, crunchy cranberry and raspberry, subtle tannin.
A profile that would do well with a bit of a chill.
