About the Producer
Leading the Renaissance of vermouth La Quintinye Vermouth Royal - pronounced [La Queen-tin-ee] - is an opulent French vermouth crafted from white wines from South West of France, Pineau des Charentes – a renowned fortified wine made by mixing fresh grape juice and Cognac from a single estate – and a composition of carefully curated botanicals. Made in the King of Spirits Vineyards, La Quintinye Vermouth Royal combines the heart and soul of the Royal terroir of Charente with the vision and expertise of master distiller/oenologist Jean-Sebastien Robicquet. La Quintinye Vermouth Royal is available in three distinct varieties: Rouge (sweet), Blanc (half-sweet) and Extra Dry. All share a base of 12 plants and spices including artemisia (i.e. wormwood, an essential ingredient to all European vermouths), vine flowers (EWG’s signature), angelica, iris roots, cardamom, cinnamon, cinchona (or quinine bark), citrus aurentium (or bitter orange), ginger, liquorice, nutmeg and ouassia amara. Each variant is then completed with its own specific selection of botanicals: in total, 28 plants and spices compose Vermouth Royal Rouge, 18 make the Blanc variety and 27 are used in Vermouth Royal Extra Dry
