Country: France
Whole bunches of Carignan left to macerate in the juice of direct-pressed Grenache to create the sort of post-modern light red/rosé that’s crept in to fashion over the past few years. Summer in a bottle.
This enigmatic blend of Carignan and Grenache slips delightfully between a ‘chilled red’ and a ‘dark rosé.’ In the summertime it’s an antidote to humidity, a refreshing plunge into a cold spring. The rest of the year, it’s like one of those crisp days that appears out of the blue to calm and rejuvenate you in one fell swoop.
Staff Note: Pure addictive glou.
